NIE Mysore accepts KCET scores for admission to BE courses. Admission to BE will start after the KCET 2024 result is released on May 20, 2024. For now, students can download the provisional answer key of KCET which was released by KEA on April 29, 2024. Students can check the KCET 2024 provisional answer key 2024 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/. If candidates find any error then they can raise objection by May 7, 2024. KCET 2024 final answer key will be made public on May 10, 2024 (tentative).
The National Institute of Engineering Mysore is an autonomous institution and was founded in the year 1946. The NIE Mysore admissions to some of the prominent courses are offered to the candidates on the basis of their performance in entrance exams like KCET, COMEDK, CET, PGCET and more. It is a grant-in-aid institution that has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi was affiliated with the National Institute of Engineering. In the year 2007, NIE Mysore received autonomy from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The NBA & NAAC has accredited the National Institute of Engineering with B++ grade.
The National Institute of Engineering campus is spread over an area of 12 acres. Under VTU and AICTE for QIP, all of NIE Mysore departments are recognised as Research Centers. Some of the popular NIE Mysore courses are B.E, M.E./M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., and PhD courses. The faculty of the college is also very qualified with a total strength of 179. NIE Mysore admission process for BTech requires candidates to have a valid KCET or COMEDK score. KCET 2024 exams have ended and the result will be announced on May 20, 2024.
NIE Mysore admissions are offered to interested candidates only after they fulfil the eligibility criteria for various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes. The COMEDK, UGET or KCET entrance exams are used to determine NIE Mysore admissions to B.E programmes, which is followed by a counselling process. Candidates must appear in the Karnataka PGCET in order to be considered for admission to the M.Tech. and MCA programmes. Candidates must also participate in the counselling session. The VTU Belagavi website is where applicants for PhD programmes must submit their applications. The written exam (VTU-ETR), which is followed by an interview, must be taken there as well.

Best-All-Rounder Award: One student each from the departments, who excels in academics and extra-curricular activities, will win the award. There are a number of facilities on the National Institute of Engineering Mysore campus for both students and staff. A huge library with abstracts, yearbooks, textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and other general publications, including Kannada novels, can be found on the NIE Mysore campus. Additionally, the library has access to numerous internet databases. On campus, there is a separate dorm for boys and a dorm for girls, as well as a boarding house.
